AYSO is excited to announce that David Thomas will be accepting the position of AYSO Academy Director.
Most recently, David served as UK International’s (AYSO Soccer Camps) Regional Director. UK International is a licensee of AYSO. While there, he ran all of the soccer business in Los Angeles and New Mexico, including sales, marketing, customer service and staff management. He launched a sales campaign focusing on client retention and growth for AYSO and UK International and increased clientele by 36 percent. He has participated in the original development and testing of UK International programs for U-4 players, which led to AYSO branded programs such as AYSO Playground. He increased his territory’s revenue to have the highest growth in the company. Lastly, he was recognized as UK International’s Regional Director of the Year in 2013 and 2015 for the recognition of sales growth and other achievements for him and his team.
“We’ll miss David being a part of the UK International family, but we’re excited for him to flourish in his new role as Academy Director and to help strengthen the partnership between AYSO Camps and AYSO,” said Gary Gamble, UK International Owner.
Prior to UK International, David spent several years as a coach and Academy Director at all levels of the soccer realm. David has a USSF B License and a National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA) Advanced National Diploma. His expertise, connections, and experience will ensure his success in this position.

In his role with AYSO, he will manage and facilitate growth for AYSO’s academy/club programs. His expertise with UK International, along with his established relationships in the soccer community, including AYSO, makes him the ideal candidate to create and help build programs for advanced play and to supplement player development support to AYSO’s strong player base within the Regions.
