Jersey United is proud to announce that on Tuesday, June 21, JU’s U23 women’s team will clash in an international friendly against Swansea City Ladies F.C. of the Welsh Premier Women’s League (WPWL). The game will be held at the Spartans’ home field- Morristown Beard School at 6pm and will be a great opportunity to play an integral role in Swansea City’s pre-season American tour.

Jersey United’s President and Founder, Martin Brown spoke to this unique opportunity: “It is a great opportunity  to have Swansea City visiting Jersey United; to have great professional women players competing against our women’s team gives them a fantastic opportunity to refine their skills against some of the world’s best. We are also excited that our young female players will be able to see this level of team play at our own facility as role models to what  our players can achieve.”

JU Director of Coaching, Dominic Rice, is eager for our players to have this chance in their careers: ”We are honored to be able to host a top European club such as Swansea City. It is a great opportunity for our players to have their ability tested against professional players. It also gives our youth team players the opportunity to watch top class players up close and personal in a live environment”.
